Our Legacy Funds
Honouring Lives. Celebrating Memories. Creating Hope for the Future.
Every person has a story worth remembering.
At National MSA Research, our Legacy Funds provide a meaningful way to honour individuals affected by Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) while supporting our charitable mission.
Through these dedicated funds, families, friends and community members can celebrate the lives of people they love, preserve their memories and contribute towards raising awareness of MSA and encouraging scientific research.
Each Legacy Fund represents a unique story, a cherished life and a lasting connection to the people who remember them.
Remembering Those Who Inspire Us
Multiple System Atrophy is a rare and progressive neurological condition that can have a profound impact on individuals and their families.
Behind every diagnosis is a person with their own experiences, relationships, achievements and memories.
Our Legacy Funds recognise these individuals as people first.
They celebrate the lives they lived, the families they loved and the contributions they made to their communities.
We believe that sharing their stories can help others better understand the human impact of MSA.

Support a Legacy Fund
Supporters can contribute to an approved Legacy Fund through the donation options available on its dedicated page.
Donations help support National MSA Research’s charitable objectives, subject to any applicable fund conditions or restrictions.
When contributing, please ensure that you select the intended Legacy Fund.
Whether you make a one-off donation or choose to contribute on a special occasion, your generosity is appreciated.
Celebrating Special Occasions
Legacy Funds may provide a meaningful way for family members and friends to mark important dates.
These might include birthdays, anniversaries, memorial occasions or other moments of remembrance.
Some supporters choose to make an annual contribution in memory of someone they love.
Others may encourage donations during community fundraising activities.
Every contribution represents an act of remembrance and support for a shared charitable mission.
How Legacy Fund Donations Are Managed
Legacy Funds are administered by National MSA Research rather than operating as separate charities or personal fundraising accounts.
Contributions are recorded against the relevant approved fund where appropriate.
The use of donations is subject to the organisation’s charitable objectives, applicable fund arrangements and any legally binding restrictions.
Fundraising totals displayed on Legacy Fund pages will be based on verified financial records.
A fundraising total does not necessarily represent money already allocated or paid to a research project.
Any research funding commitment requires separate organisational approval.
Create a Legacy Fund
Would you like to honour someone special through a dedicated Legacy Fund?
National MSA Research welcomes enquiries from families and supporters interested in establishing a lasting tribute.
An approved Legacy Fund may include a photograph, personal biography, fundraising goal and a dedicated donation option.
We recognise that these are deeply personal tributes and aim to approach every enquiry with compassion and respect.
Please contact our organisation to discuss the application and approval process.
Respecting Personal Stories
Each Legacy Fund is created to recognise an individual and their story.
National MSA Research aims to handle photographs, biographies and personal information sensitively and with appropriate permissions.
Families may contact us to discuss proposed updates to published tribute information.
We recognise that everyone’s experience of loss and remembrance is different.
Together, We Can Create Hope
Our Legacy Funds are about more than fundraising.
They are about remembering people who mattered, sharing their stories and bringing communities together.
Through their legacies, we hope to encourage greater awareness of Multiple System Atrophy and contribute towards a future where better treatments and a cure are possible.
Their lives are remembered. Their stories continue. Their legacies inspire hope.
