Past Events

Celebrating Our Events, Our Supporters and the Moments That Bring Us Together.

Every National MSA Research event represents something special.

Behind the fundraising activities, entertainment and celebrations are people who share a commitment to increasing awareness of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).

Our events bring together families, friends, volunteers, businesses and community members who want to make a meaningful difference.

This page celebrates past events, recognises the generosity of our supporters and shares the memories that help tell the story of National MSA Research.

Our Events Through the Years

Since National MSA Research was established in October 2024, community support has played an important role in helping our organisation grow.

From trivia nights to our inaugural gala, fundraising activities have provided opportunities to raise awareness of MSA, connect with supporters and encourage greater public understanding of this rare neurological condition.

Explore some of the events that have helped shape our journey.

2025 MSA Royal Gala

Saturday, 20 September 2025

Chateau Wyuna — Mount Evelyn, Victoria

Our inaugural MSA Royal Gala marked an important milestone for National MSA Research.

Held at Chateau Wyuna in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, the evening celebrated the official launch of our charity and brought together supporters for a memorable occasion.

Hosted by Australian comedian Dave O’Neil, the event featured a three-course dinner, live music, presentations about Multiple System Atrophy and opportunities to support our fundraising mission.

Guests also enjoyed an auction and an evening of entertainment.

The Gala was an opportunity to introduce National MSA Research’s mission, celebrate the generosity of our community and recognise the people working to increase awareness of MSA.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered or contributed towards making the event possible.

Event highlights: Charity launch, MSA awareness presentations, live entertainment, fundraising auction and community celebration.

2025 Trivia Night

Saturday, 22 March 2025

The Klep Family’s Second Annual Trivia Night

The 2025 Trivia Night brought together approximately 150 guests for an evening of friendship, competition and fundraising in support of National MSA Research.

Organised by the Klep family, the event was a meaningful tribute to Adrian Klep, whose experience with Multiple System Atrophy inspired the establishment of our charity.

The evening featured five trivia rounds, with questions covering a variety of subjects, including general knowledge and music.

Guests also enjoyed mini-games, raffles and the opportunity to compete for prizes.

A special congratulations goes to The Smurfies, who claimed another trivia victory and earned recognition on the MSA Trivia Champions Shield.

We are grateful to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, participants and donors whose generosity made the evening a success.

Event highlights: Team trivia, music questions, mini-games, prizes, fundraising and community participation.

More Events and Memories

National MSA Research continues to develop fundraising activities and community initiatives that bring people together.

Our goal is to create a lasting record of the people, activities and milestones that contribute towards our charitable mission.

We aim to respect personal privacy and obtain appropriate permissions before publishing identifiable photographs.

Thank You to Our Volunteers

Our events rely on the dedication and generosity of volunteers.

Their contributions may include event preparation, registration, fundraising activities, guest assistance and work behind the scenes.

We appreciate everyone who contributes their time, experience and enthusiasm to support our organisation.

Their efforts help transform event plans into meaningful community experiences.

Recognising Our Sponsors

Businesses and community organisations play an important role in supporting fundraising events.

Through financial contributions, sponsorship, donated goods, services and other approved assistance, sponsors help make these occasions possible.

We value the generosity of our sponsors and their willingness to support greater awareness of Multiple System Atrophy.

Individual event pages may recognise approved sponsors and their contributions in accordance with relevant sponsorship arrangements.

The Impact of Our Events

Every fundraising event creates opportunities to support the charitable objectives of National MSA Research.

These activities also provide an important platform for educating the wider community about Multiple System Atrophy.

We recognise that fundraising results, awareness activities and research funding are different measures of progress.

Where event financial information is published, we aim to distinguish between funds raised, expenses and net fundraising proceeds.

Research funding will only be identified as committed or paid when the relevant decisions and transactions have been formally approved and recorded.

Together, We Are Building Something Meaningful

National MSA Research was established following the loss of Adrian Klep to Multiple System Atrophy in September 2024.

His story inspired a determination to increase awareness and contribute towards a future of better understanding, more effective treatments and ultimately a cure.

Our fundraising events reflect the strength of the community that has grown around this mission.

Every participant, volunteer, donor and sponsor contributes towards that shared purpose.

As we look back on our events, we celebrate not only the activities themselves but also the people who have made them possible.

Every Event Creates Memories. Every Memory Tells a Story. Every Story Helps Raise Awareness.
