Our Fundraising Campaigns
Every Campaign Has a Purpose. Every Contribution Makes a Difference.
At National MSA Research, fundraising campaigns help bring people together in support of our mission to combat Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).
Through the generosity of individuals, families, businesses and community supporters, we aim to increase awareness of this rare neurological condition and encourage progress towards better diagnosis, more effective treatments and ultimately a cure.
Our campaigns provide opportunities to contribute towards specific approved charitable initiatives and follow their fundraising progress.
Whether you’re making a donation, sharing a campaign or supporting a fundraising activity, your involvement is appreciated.

Each available campaign will provide information about its purpose and how supporters can become involved.
Depending on the campaign, you may be able to make a financial contribution, participate in an approved fundraising activity or help raise awareness by sharing the campaign with others.

What Can Our Campaigns Support?
National MSA Research’s charitable mission is guided by three important areas.
Awareness
Helping more people understand Multiple System Atrophy and the impact it has on individuals and families.
Approved campaigns may support suitable awareness and educational activities.
Alleviation
Supporting efforts to improve access to appropriate information, resources and education for people affected by MSA.
Advancement
Encouraging scientific research and collaboration that may contribute towards better understanding, diagnosis and treatment of Multiple System Atrophy.
Specific research projects or funding commitments will only be identified where formally approved and supported by appropriate records.
The objectives and permitted use of funds will be explained on individual campaign pages.
Follow a Campaign’s Progress
We recognise that supporters appreciate clear information about the initiatives they choose to support.
Where available, individual campaign pages may include:
- The campaign’s name and purpose.
- Its fundraising goal.
- The amount raised towards that goal.
- A visual progress indicator.
- Campaign dates and status.
- Updates about approved activities.
- Information about the use of funds.
- An option to donate or participate.
Financial progress will be based on verified records and may be updated as donations, adjustments and other relevant transactions are processed.
We aim to explain clearly whether published amounts represent donations received, gross funds raised or net proceeds after relevant expenses.
Support a Campaign
There are several ways you may be able to support a fundraising campaign.
Make a Donation
Choose an approved campaign and contribute an amount that suits your circumstances.
Where supported, the donation process will identify the campaign receiving your gift.
Share a Campaign
Help raise awareness by sharing an approved campaign with family, friends or colleagues.
A conversation about MSA can introduce more people to this important cause.
Participate in a Fundraising Activity
Some campaigns may include events or community activities.
Visit the relevant campaign page for details about any opportunities to participate.
Become a Sponsor
Businesses and organisations may be able to support suitable campaigns through approved sponsorship arrangements or other contributions.
Contact National MSA Research to discuss potential opportunities.
Completed Campaigns
Our completed campaigns section will provide a record of approved fundraising initiatives that have concluded.
Where appropriate, these pages may include:
- The original fundraising objective.
- The final verified amount raised.
- A summary of the activities undertaken.
- Relevant campaign outcomes.
- Appreciation for supporters and volunteers.
A completed fundraising campaign does not necessarily mean that all associated charitable expenditure or research activity has been completed.
We aim to distinguish fundraising results from subsequent use of funds.

Fundraising in Memory of a Loved One
Some supporters choose to raise funds in honour or memory of someone affected by Multiple System Atrophy.
These activities can provide a meaningful way to celebrate a person’s life while encouraging greater awareness of the condition.
National MSA Research also provides information about approved Legacy Funds, which are managed separately from general fundraising campaigns.

Where Does the Money Go?
National MSA Research is committed to responsible charitable fundraising and appropriate financial accountability.
Donations and campaign proceeds support our charitable objectives, subject to any accepted restrictions or approved campaign purposes.
We aim to provide accurate information about fundraising outcomes and avoid presenting unconfirmed financial results or research commitments as completed achievements.
For more information about our charitable objectives and the use of donations, please visit our Where Your Donation Goes page.
Thank You for Supporting Our Campaigns
National MSA Research was established in October 2024 following the loss of Adrian Klep to Multiple System Atrophy.
His family’s experience inspired a commitment to increasing awareness of this condition and encouraging scientific progress towards a better future.
Our fundraising campaigns provide opportunities for supporters to become part of that mission.
Whether you donate, participate, organise an approved activity or share our message, your support matters.
Together, We Can Raise Awareness, Encourage Progress and Combat MSA.
